GROWTH GROUPS

Growth Groups are smaller groups of people who meet during the week for community, care, prayer, and studying God’s Word, usually the current BPCC sermon series. Growth Groups are an integral part of what it means to belong at BPCC because it is primarily in Growth Groups where we fulfil our calling to grow in Christ-likeness and in community.

MEMBERSHIP

God’s good and loving plan is that we would commit ourselves to a local community of faith; for our own protection, for our growth in Christ, for the good of others, and for the glory of God’s name. If you’d like to formally join in on what God is doing in and through us, we invite you to attend our next Membership Course. They are held three times a year after our 9am service.

WHAT IS BAPTISM?

In many ways, baptism is where the Christian life begins. It is where our relationship to Christ and his church is formally acknowledged. It the sign and seal of initiation into the visible family of God, whether as an adult convert or as a child of believing parents. It is the sign and seal of God’s saving promises to us — to claim us as his own, to unite us to his Son, to wash away our sins, and to give us the gift of the Holy Spirit. As a sign, baptism visibly symbolises these promises, and as a seal, baptism reassures us that God will keep his promises. If you’d like to be baptised, check out our Baptism booklet below or get in touch with the church office!

PRAYER

Prayer is at the heart of our relationship with God, and for this reason we delight to make prayer a part of everything we do. There are many ways you can join us in prayer. Come along to our ‘Worship & Prayer’ gatherings once a term; send us your prayer requests and praise reports; pray with someone after a Sunday service; pray in your Growth Group; or join our prayer ministry and receive weekly prayer requests from within our community.
