Grace is freely given to us because of what Jesus has done for us. We do not need to earn it. There is no checklist we are required to meet. We receive it as a gift.
It can be easy at times to forget about grace. Perhaps it is because grace isn’t something that is tangible. You can’t hold it in your hands. It is like the wind you can’t see, but instead feel.
The gift of grace is something so valuable we should want to tell others, and grow in our relationship with God. After all, in Acts 20:24 the Apostle Paul says “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
One way we can be prepared to testify of God’s grace is through the spiritual disciplines. I have personally found the current sermon series to be a great reminder of how we should be living our lives and growing in our relationship with God. As we’ve learnt, something as simple as reading the Bible through reading plans on the YouVersion Bible app every day is a great starting point in growing closer to God.
By spending time with Him we will grow closer and be more equipped to tell of His grace, and all that He’s done for us. When we are equipped we are better prepared to connect, grow, serve and go out into the world around us.
