New Opportunities

As January comes to the end of the month, more and more of our church family are returning from leave. It’s now time for families with children to buy school uniforms, shoes and stationery! Life will speed up with the start of school and regular activities. The way to manage what’s ahead of us in 2012 is to plan and set priorities. I’ve said many, many times: I love new beginnings like new school terms, new sermon series and new year resolutions! The past is past, and the future is right in front of us!

So, for me, I’m looking forward to the opportunities that await us 2012. Here’s one opportunity I want to encourage all of you to consider: Life Group experience. We’re offering a number of Life Group options during Term 1 of this New Year for you to take advantage of.

One: Home Life Groups that meet in homes & follow a particular Bible based study.

Two: Sermon Based Life Groups that follow on from the Sunday sermon by digging a little deeper. Weekly questions are provided and these Life Groups meet in homes.

Three: Wednesday Ministry Night at the church (7.00pm to 9.00pm) and range of topics are offered for term

  1. Alpha (11 weeks – teaching the basics of the Christian faith) – starts 1st Feb.
  2. Love & Respect (6 weeks – guaranteed to enrich & encourage your marriage relationship) – starts 8th Feb.
  3. Church History (6 weeks – explaining the events that led to the reformation of the early church) – starts 8th Feb. Budget & Finance (3 weeks – guaranteed to help you tame spending & start saving) – starts 28th Feb
Please consider joining in on a Life Group experience this term by registering your interest at either the Connections Centre or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Wayne will be at the Connections Centre following our services today to answer any questions you may have. Another new thing I’d like you to please consider is to give your tithe (financial contribution to the church) via digital giving. Carla and I have been ‘auto debit givers’ for years, so I can say with confidence that this way of regular giving allows us to meet our commitment to God’s instruction to tithe (which will in turn, see our church resourced). I know what it’s like to make a promise to give to the church—and then not do it consistently. When it comes to catch-up time, the money isn’t there. That would make me sad… so, we started ‘auto debit giving.’ Please, consider doing this too. Our bank details can be obtained from the office or you may have your tithe taken from your credit card each month. Have a great day church. It’s good to be together to worship our Lord and hear His Word together.
